Request a part.
The quickest way to the right part is one of these:
- 01
The engine serial number (ESN) from the dataplate.
- 02
The part number, if you have the old part or a parts list.
- 03
A photo of the dataplate, if you are not sure which number is which.
Add the engine model, the hours it has run and what the part does. We will confirm what fits and whether it is on the shelf.
Or call spare parts on +356 7900 3428.
Engine serial number
Where is my engine serial number?
Every Cummins engine carries a dataplate. It shows the engine serial number (ESN) and the control parts list (CPL) number. Together they identify exactly how your engine was built, so we can match parts to it.
The plate is usually fixed to the engine block or a front cover. If it is damaged or painted over, send us a photo of the engine and any numbers you can see. Your owner’s manual also shows where the plate is.
Why genuine.
A genuine Cummins part is made to the same specification as the part your engine left the factory with. A copy can look identical and still differ by fractions of a millimetre. In an engine that can mean lost power, poor lubrication, faster wear or a failure. Genuine parts also carry the Cummins parts warranty.
Not sure a part is genuine? Cummins has an online check: validate a Cummins part.
ReCon
Remanufactured, not repaired.
Cummins ReCon engines and parts are remanufactured by Cummins to original factory specification, including any design updates since your part was made. They cost less than new and are covered by a Cummins warranty.
- 01
Strip down
Taken apart to the last bolt and spring.
- 02
Clean
Cleaned without removing any metal.
- 03
Inspect
Checked against factory specification, including ultrasonic testing.
- 04
Restore
Worn surfaces rebuilt and parts machined. Anything out of specification is replaced with a new genuine part.
- 05
Test
Tested for performance and reliability before it ships.
Ask us whether a ReCon part or engine is available for yours. Process as described by Cummins.
Filtration
Fleetguard filtration for every system on the engine.
Fleetguard is a brand of Atmus Filtration Technologies. Filters are matched to your engine, so start with the ESN.
- Fuel filters and fuel/water separators
- Lube (oil) filters
- Air filters and air/oil separators
- Coolant (water) filters
- Hydraulic filters

Onan marine generators
Cruise Kits and genuine Onan parts.
Cummins packs the routine service parts for each Onan model into a Cruise Kit. Send the model, spec letter and serial number from the nameplate, and we will match the kit and any other parts.
Onan marine generatorsLubricants and coolants
Valvoline lubricants and Fleetguard coolants.
Use the oil and coolant your engine’s manual specifies. Cummins publishes its own standards (CES numbers) for both, so check the CES number on the label. Conventional and hybrid coolants need a supplemental coolant additive (DCA) to stay protective; OAT coolants do not.
| Coolant type | Test |
|---|---|
| Conventional | At every oil change, or once a year |
| Hybrid | Every 4,000 hours, or once a year |
| Organic acid (OAT) | Every 6,000 hours, or once a year |
